Admissions through transfer

AMBRA may accept credits earned at and transferred from other postsecondary institutions, when congruent and applicable to AMBRA's program, and when the course work of the other institution is also applicable to a baccalaureate degree. Submit your documentation for knowing if your credits may be accepted by AMBRA.

For transferring your enrollment to AMBRA applicant must apply as a regular applicant. Transfer of credits analysis is processed according to the following standards.

  • Transfer of credits requests shall be submitted only once per course per student.
  • Each course transfer request is individually analyzed to evaluate whether the course is appropriate or not.
  • Applications are analyzed if the following application documentation is completed:
  • Student must have sufficiently attended classes at the other institution.
  • The other institution must offer the component at baccalaureate or superior level.
  • Credit may be accepted only if a student has earned a grade of "C" or better in a course. Credit is not awarded for "C-" or lower grades or any other grade that indicates unsatisfactory progress. The awards below the 70% of the maximum score on the previous institution may result in rejection of the application even if such award represents satisfactory progress at the other institution.
  • Analyzes observes unit and topic equivalence between the syllabus of the component at the other institution and the syllabus of the component at AMBRA.
  • Transfer of credits may be denied if workload at the other institution is not greater or equal than workload at AMBRA. There is no transfer of credit approval conditioned to additional study that was not accomplished at the other institution.
  • The credits shall be accepted only for curriculum components already implemented by AMBRA or to be implemented in the next period of enrollment.
  • Credits that were earned more than five years prior to the first term in which the student enrolls the AMBRA program shall not be accepted.
