Summary of procedures for applying

• Check if you attend all prerequisites.
• Fulfill the application form.
• Pay the $30,00 nonrefundable application fee.
• Submit all required documentation
  • Copy of one personal photo-ID (Passport, Driver license, etc.)
  • Copy of your High School certificate or equivalent.
  • Résumé
  • Frontal photo showing your face (passport photo)
• Attend the web conference interview at the scheduled date (it's necessary to have a computer equipped with webcam and microphone).
• Wait for the result of acceptance or denial of you application to be published in up to 10 days after the date of the interview.

Application process details

The application form contains subjective questions that must be answered in Portuguese with formal and correct writing. Questions address student’s academic and professional backgrounds, motivation and objectives, and financial capacity. Once application is completed and application fee is paid, the admissions responsible analyses the application and interviews applicant by phone or via web-conference for final evaluation.

Evaluation considers the following criteria in order to render a decision regarding student’s acceptance in the program:

• Formal and correct writing in Portuguese;
• Good speaking and listening skills in Portuguese;
• Professional and academic backgrounds;
• Motivation;
• Financial capability.

SAT, ACT, or any equivalent scores are included in the academic backgrounds criteria and are very closely considered. AMBRA does not impose a minimum for those scores and high scores do not guarantee acceptance of an application.

Applicants will receive an answer in writing informing if they are accepted or are not accepted in the program. In case of denial, the decision note will show the reasons why application was denied and applicants may appeal of the decision in writing in 10 days after receiving it. The appeal will be analyzed and applicant will receive a decision in writing. In case of denial, students are refunded according to AMBRA’s Refund Policy.

No eligible applicant will be denied admission without complete review of application materials.
